School outfits!

Since August has knocked on our doors I've decided to choose three outfits I'll be wearing this school year. I graduated high school this spring so I'm starting a new semester in a completely different environment. The excitement/anxiety is killing me. It comforts me to think that even though i'll be surrounded by new people and new classes my clothes will always stay the same.
Maybe my nerves are getting a little crazy, I can't seem to go through one day without that huge knot in my stomach. When I feel nervous (aka all the time) I like to open up my closet and remind myself of who I am. I doubt many of you know what I'm talking about, I doubt any of you do, but if there is one person that cares as much about her/his clothes as I do then I want to say: I feel you.
Wow, what a heartwarming blog post this has been. I better go and fetch the pack of tissues.
And now to the main part. My top three school outfits:

Best thrift shop find ever:

This dress is as comfortable as it is gorgeous. It is the perfect first-day-of-school outfit and if I could I would wear it every day.

Fancy playsuit thingy:

Playsuit by Miss Dorby

This is perfect if you want to be a classy yet I-just-jumped-out-of-the-movie-clueless lady. It is a perfect piece to throw on and I know it will look wonderful with the black winter coat I haven't bought yet.

Comfy, classy and effortless:

Sweater thingy by American Apparel
Pants by Nr. 1
Want to feel super comfortable/effortless and still look fab? Just find yourself a pair of "fancypants" as I like to call them. Oh, I would wear them everyday if I could. They are the loves of my life.

Thanks for stopping by!

Met Gala - top 10 best dressed

I've been scanning the internet all day, looking at gorgeous people who attended the Met ball last night. It made me envious to see all the beautiful dresses, people and jewelry. There is something magical about Jay-Z jokingly proposing to Beyoncé when she drops her ring on the red carpet. Honestly, I get goosebumps.
The Met ball is a fashion event (duh) so I felt sort of obligated to do a top ten post, like everyone else. I went through all the photos from the Vogue website and some other sites as well and I picked out ten looks I think are absolutely to die for. Enjoy!

1. Number one is of course Lupita N'yongo wearing Prada. How she manages to look this amazing every time she attends events is a mystery to me. I'd like to meet her stylist, for sure. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've never seen Lupita in a bad outfit. She gets it right every single time.

2. I think it's obvious that Johnny Depp is aging like fine wine, he just keeps getting better. His soon to be bride, Amber Heard, is looking gorgeous as well. She was wearing a simple yet magnificent Giambattista Valli Haute Couture silk gown and was rocking that lipstick. I can say without regret that I'm a little jealous of Amber. I mean, she's walking the red carpet with Johnny Depp by her side....

3. I'm so in love with the Ralph Lauren dress Rachel McAdams was wearing. It's so simple and beautiful, just how I like them. The color suits her so well and she's looking stunning. Sometimes less is more.

4. Of course Sarah Jessica Parker looked perfect. She never disappoints. This dress is so Carrie Bradshaw that it leaves me feeling nostalgic. Hmm... maybe I should re-watch Sex And The City...

5. No list is completed without Beyoncé. She was as perfect as always and her and Jay Z were so adorable it made me feel like a potato. A lonely potato. They were both wearing Givenchy and their outfits were mesmerizing. I don't think words can describe how good they are together, the photo speaks for itself.

6. Chloe Moretz is one of the greatest young actresses in Hollywood these days. She is doing amazing things and was rocking Chanel last night. I believe she will be huge in the future, both in fashion and film.

7. Dita von Tesse was looking very Snow white last night. A look i'm a total sucker for. This Zac Posen dress fits her figure perfectly and I can't really get my mind around the fact that she is 42! She looks so young!

8. Lena Dunham looked so cute in that Giambattitsa Valli Haute Couture dress. She is rocking that bob and her red carpet photos make me smile. She just looks so happy in all of them. Lena is just such an inspiration to me when it comes to doing whatever I want. I will forever look up to her.

9. I think we can all agree on that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are Hollywoods most handsome couple. They look photoshopped in all their pictures, it just doesn't make sense? They were both wearing Gucci and were both looking delicious.

10. Last but not least is Stella Tennant in Burberry. I've been a fan of her for quite some time now or ever since I saw her 2013 Chanel campaign. This photo represents everything I want to be in life; Tall, glamorous and at the met ball. Stella is such a natural beauty and will also be an inspiration to me forever.

3 spring and summer trends that I love.

The classic buttoned-down shirt

This look was all over the runways this year, Balenciaga, Dior, Acne, Alexander Wang and the list goes on and on. The shirt is super classic and goes with almost everything. Plus you look a lot more respectable for some unexplained reason.. What's not to love?

Bold and colorful prints

The Picasso vibe was very prominent and I really loved how Karl Lagerfeld was able to make it look so glamorous. Céline, Prada and Jil Sander and many more were also taking part in this new pop art obsession that is going around and it's fabulous. Now I will refuse to wear anything black! (just kidding, that would be almost impossible.....)

Tribal pattern

It was very big at the Valentino spring couture show but it seems like almost everyone is participating in this new trend. The colors are so natural and the prints are so lovely.

Favorites - Red, Valentino

I think it's impossible to dislike the Red  Valentino collections. If you like fairytales at least. This season the fairytale was Snow White and the model who played the lead role was Marine Deleeuw, a personal favorite of mine. I loved the kind of punk feeling some of those outfits had but still remained in character. The purses and shoes are also adorable.

Dolce & Gabbana - Part 1

I LOVED the fairytale theme Dolce & Gabbana had going on, the hoods, the patterns and just the whole feel about this collection is amazing. I was blown away by it. I especially loved the huge red furcoat and I am contemplating wether or not to sell my soul for it.....
I had so many favorite looks I had to split this post into two bits, so check back tomorrow for the next one!
Enjoy my favorite looks from Dolce & Gabbana F/W14!
